William Allingham: An Anno¬tated Bibliography introduces a neglected Anglo-Irish poet: it pro¬vides a survey of his published volumes of poetry and prose as well as his literary contributions to journals and magazines. In addi¬tion, it gives a list of the poet's published and unpublished corres¬pondence with well-established literary figures, notably Tennyson, Carlyle, Browning, D.G. Rossetti, Emerson and others. Moreover, the work provides a record of 19th Century as well as modem Alling¬ham scholarship and criticism. It is hoped that this Bibliography will facilitate future research on Allingham.
