In this book Goldsmith makes a distinction between psychological healing and spiritual healing. Psychological healing is primarily an activity of the human mind and the intellect. Spiritual healing is an activity of the soul faculties; it is always performed without mental activity, without the necessity of the physical presence of the patient, and often without his cooperation beyond giving his consent. The book is devoted to explaining the art of spiritual healing.
