I was born in Rhodesia in 1946 and had the privilege of living in the country in the best of times. I was in boarding school where Church was compulsory, but we were never lead to be Born Again, that was an opportunity missed by the Church. But we did have daily prayers and scripture reading, which we now see was a life saver. It was only when I was 50 years old that I came to know Jesus Christ as my savior, then the Holy Spirit lead me to get into the word of God, study it and meditate on it and believe it. I have been healed from life threatening conditions, I have been protected supernaturally, from terrorist attacks, vehicle accidents, snakes and God only knows what else. I know this stuff works, that is why I have written this book, to help the new believer quickly get on the road to faith. I encourage all readers to keep this book handy and use it to grow, then pass it on to your converts. Read the books of people who have gone before us in faith, watch Christian TV and of course make your Bible your constant companion and source of wisdom . I love and pray for you .
The wealthiest family in New York City, the Harper family looks perfect from the view of citizens beyond the Harper Compound solid steel gates. It’s July, and Nicholas Borelli II’s parents are scheduled to spend two weeks on a cruise. Nicholas will spend those two weeks, as he does every summer, at Camp Wannameka. The night before he’s to leave, however, there’s a phone call: thanks to an explosion in the septic system, camp is canceled. The only place for Nicholas to go instead is to his grandmother’s house in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York. Nicholas’s father grew up in Brooklyn, but you’d hardly know it. An Italian dinner at Nicholas’s house in the suburbs is whole wheat pasta, organic tomato sauce, and, if he’s lucky, a tofu meatball. And Brooklyn? Well, Brooklyn is the place his father left and never talks about. Nicholas has never been there, and he doesn’t want to go now. But when Nicholas tastes his grandma Tutti’s meatballs for the first time, gets a nickname from his uncle Frankie, and makes a friend in the neighborhood, his feelings about Brooklyn–and family–begin to change.
Welcome to the Family, Jessie is about this boy named Michael, but people call him Mike. He has two brothers named Matthew and Daniel. Daniel is his oldest brother, and Matthew is his second-oldest brother. He has a dad that he says is strict with him and doesn't love him the same way he loves his other two brothers, but really, his dad just knows his little boy is growing up way too fast. They have friends that are part of their gang too that they call family. Which are John, David, Mark, Clark, Bradley, George, and Alex, who were his brothers he'd known all their life and grew up with. In the story, it tells you about who they are and what's going on with them now and what happened to them in the past throughout the book. In the book, Mike also explains how his brother Dan is lonely and needs to get a girlfriend. Till out of the blue a girl named Jessie Smith catches his heart. So Mike and his best friend, Alex, think of a plan to get them together. Although the plan didn't exactly work, Dan and Jessie still went on a date. But after you come across the end of the book, you might have a different point of view about your family.
