Jacob Weaver (1677-1753) came from the Palatinate area of Germany to Amity Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1710-1715. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
Hannas (John) Weber died in Switzerland in 1721, and left 3 (or perhaps 4) sons, George, Jacob, Henry, and John, all of whom emigrated to the U.S. and settled in Lancaster co., Pennsylvania.
Jacob Weaver, son of Johann Weaver and Maria Margarethe Herr, was born in 1688 in either Germany or Switzerland. He emigrated and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Anna Bauman, daughter of Wendel Bauman and Ann, in about 1723. They had nine children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Germany and Switzerland. Includes Funk, Herr, Landis, Meili, Schnebli and related families.
Also includes descendants of Henry's brothers, George and Jacob. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, the midwestern states, and some descendants immigrated to Canada.
Philipp Joseph Weber immigrated to the Germanna Colony in Virginia from Gemmingen, Baden, Germany in 1717. The Weaver family traces their genealogy from Philipp Joseph Weber through Virginia, West Virginia, Texas and finally to central Illinois. Edward A. Weaver, Jr. is the sixth-great-grand-son of Philipp Joseph. Edward's parents are Edward Adolphus Weaver and Mary Ella Moore. They were married June 26, 1921.
