Direct measurements of vector boson pair production processes and trilinear gauge boson couplings have been conducted by the CDF and D0 Collaborations. Preliminary results from searches for anomalous WW/WZ 2![mu][nu] jet jet and WZ 2!eee[nu] production are presented. 95% CL anomalous coupling limits from previously published D0 results are -0.20
Direct measurements of the trilinear gauge boson couplings by the CDF and D0 collaborations at Fermilab are reviewed. Limits on the anomalous couplings were obtained at a 95% CL from four diboson production processes: W[gamma] production with the subsequent W boson decay to e[nu] or [mu][nu], WW production with both the W boson decaying to e[nu] or [mu][nu], WW/WZ production with one of the gauge bosons decaying leptonically and the other gauge boson decaying to two jets, and Z[gamma] production with the subsequent Z boson decay to ee, [mu][mu], or [nu][nu]. Limits were also obtained by a combined fit to W[gamma], WW→dileptons and WW/WZ semileptonic data samples.
The trilinear couplings appear as the three gauge boson vertices and can be measured by studying the gauge boson pair production processes. The measurement of the coupling parameters is one of the few remaining crucial tests of the Standard Model. D0 has studied W[gamma], Z[gamma], WW, and WZ production and found no evidence of anomalous production. In this paper we review all the current results from D0 data.
These proceedings consist of plenary rapporteur talks covering topics of major interest to the high energy physics community and parallel sessions papers which describe recent research results and future plans.
The authors present some precision measurements on electroweak physics performed at the Tevatron collider at Fermilab. Namely they report on the boson-pair production cross sections and on triple gauge boson couplings using proton anti-proton collisions collected by the CDF and D0 experiments at the center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of up to 324 pb{sup -1}.
Recent results from the CDF and D0 Experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are presented for the W and Z boson production cross sections, the W boson width, rare W boson decays, trilinear gauge boson couplings, and the W boson mass.
Here we summarize the recent measurements of the diboson production cross sections and limits on trilinear gauge boson couplings using 1-5 fb−1 of Tevatron data collected by the CDF and D0 detectors. These results are the most precise to date from a hadron collider.
This dissertation describes a search for Z/[gamma]* boson pair production decaying into [mu][mu][mu][mu], [mu][mu]ee, and eeee final states with approximately 1 fb-1 of data at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at √s = 1.96 TeV. The small cross section times branching ratio for each channel mandated a thorough study of the acceptance and efficiencies. After optimization, 1.7 ± 0.1 events are expected for Standard Model production with a background of 0.13 ± 0.03 events. One event was found in the [mu][mu]ee channel. A cross section limit of 4.4 pb is determined at a 95% confidence level for Standard Model production. Additionally, one parameter and two parameter 95% C.L. limits are found for the anomalous neutral trilinear gauge couplings ZZZ* and ZZ[gamma]*. The one parameter 95% C.L. coupling limits with a form factor scale of 1.2 TeV are: -0.28
