As the number of available priests has declined, the Sunday Mass is becoming less and less available in some parishes and dioceses. Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest addresses this growing reality by providing the appropriate ritual to be used in the celebrating community. This revised ritual edition of Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest is fully bilingual, with Spanish and English printed side by side. It includes Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, and two appendices, Directory for Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest and Gathered in Steadfast Faith. This beautifully bound ritual book includes three ribbons and is printed in two colors. It will be a welcome addition to the sacristy or library of every parish, school, convent, and religious house.
Maurice Durufle based this famous motet on an ancient plainchant melody. This new adaptation makes the motet more accessible by an intelligent redistribution of parts: in its opening and closing sections, the first tenor line is reassigned to the altos, and the alto line is given to the tacet sopranos. All of Durufle's sumptuous harmonies are retained. For the first time, a piano reduction for rehearsal is included. In the brand-new unison version, the piano provides rich accompaniment; this arrangement is especially suitable for treble choirs, but is equally effective when sung by male or mixed choirs.
Novello presents a choral setting of Edward Elgar's 'Nimrod' from the Enigma Variations for SSAATTBB Choir, as arranged by John Cameron. This single pieces includes, as well as eight vocal lines, a piano score accompaniment for use in rehearsals.
The world's most famous hymn book has been completely revised and now offers the broadest ever range of traditional hymns and modern compositions, from the Psalms to John Bell, Bernadette Farrell and Stuart Townend. Its 847 items have been specially selected for their singability, theological richness and relevance. Organ edition. 2 volume set.
Oremus allows Catholics to experience anew—or for the first time—the beauty and rich spiritual heritage of the language used for almost two-thousand years in the scriptures, liturgy, and prayers of the Church. Traditional Latin prayers such as the Ave Maria, Sancte Michael, and Tantum Ergo are presented side-by-side with their literal English translations in this extraordinary collection. Pope Francis’s Twitter account in Latin has grown from 100,000 followers in 2013 to more than almost a million in 2020; and there is a growing interest by Catholics to learn traditional prayers in Latin. Oremus is a collection of cherished prayers in Latin—the exact words prayed by many of the saints over the centuries—including: The prayers of the Rosary—Pater Noster, Gloria Patri, and Salve Regina; Prayers for Eucharistic Adoration—O Salutaris, Laudes Divinae, and Anima Christi; Prayers for morning, evening, and night—Benedictus, Magnificat, Nunc Dimittis; Favorite psalms and Gospel Sequences; Prayers used by St. Louis de Montfort in his preparation for Total Consecration to Mary—Veni Creator and Ave Maris Stella; and Prayers of and to saints—Te Deum and Suscipe. Oremus includes an introduction, ecclesiastical Latin pronunciation guide, index, and accent markings throughout the text. It can be used as a prayer book for individuals, classrooms, families, and small groups.

It then sheds light on various events in Jesus' life and beyond. A third group of messages shows the Bible addressing social issues such as sexuality and violence.

Today more than ever, we need an ethnography of spirit so we can identify and describe how spirit dwells and how it communicates. Our lives and our humanity depend on making the connection to spirit more visible and concrete to ourselves, to those we love, and to those we fail to understand. Educators have a special role to play in making the connection to spirit more visible and concrete. In this vital new book, a wide range of scholars and educators share stories about their own personal calls to spirituality. From the Amazon to the coast of Ireland, from the Talmud to the Book of Mormon, and in classrooms across the world, contributors explore the scenes in which spirit lives through insightful autoethnographic research and reporting. Spirituality, Ethnography, and Teaching is dedicated to the journey to the heart of teaching and learning. Each chapter reveals that spirituality, ethnography, and teaching are linked concretely in our experience of and desire for freedom. This collection of stories invites the reader to share in a way of knowing that discloses a radical union in which freedom, communication, and spirit coalesce. This ethnography of spirit calls upon the reader to dwell more deeply in the humanness of life and vocation and to let love flow.
