Excerpt from Twenty-Second Biennial Report of the State Treasurer: For the Period July 1, 1928, to June 30, 1930, to the Twenty-Second Regular Legislative Session, 1931 I have the honor to submit herewith the following report covering the transactions of the Treasury for the biennial period beginning July 1, 1928, and ending June 30, 1930. Your attention is respectfully called to the new system of accounts under which we are now operating, same being installed on July 1, 1929. We are now able to balance our books against our cash at the close of each day's business, and have a complete and thorough record of all transactions of the day. At the close' of each fiscal year we are able to give promptly a complete and thorough analysis of receipts as to their character and source from which they came. You will observe that we show considerable detail and comparative data. This done for the purpose of furnishing our Legislators and State Departments information as to the source and character of revenues coming into the Treasury.
