This Phase I General Design Memorandum and the supporting Environmental Impact Statement presents an update and reanalysis of the plan of water resource development for the portion of the main stem of the Trinity River from Trinity Bay to the existing Fort Worth Floodway. This proposed development, the Trinity River Project, is a part of the basinwide plan of improvement for the Trinity River and Tributatires, Texas, as described in House Document 276, 89th Congress, 1st Session, authorized by the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1965 (PL 89-298) and supported by the Reevaluation of Navigation Features presented in House Document 264, 90th Congress, 2nd Session.
