William Thomas (1792-1873), a native of North Carolina, and possibly the son of William and Pollie Thomas, married Sarah Huffines (1795-1864), daughter of Jacob and Anna Marie Chrisman Huffines, in Guilford County, North Carolina, in 1813. They had eight children, 1815-1838. The family migrated to Wayne County, Indiana, ca. 1828, and then moved to Hancock County, Indiana, in 1830 or 1831. William and Sarah Thomas are buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fortville, Indiana. Descendants lived in Indiana, Kentucky and elsewhere.
