This book contains accepted papers presented at CISIS 2020 held in the beautiful and historic city of Burgos (Spain), in September 2020. The aim of the CISIS 2020 conference is to offer a meeting opportunity for academic and industry-related researchers belonging to the various, vast communities of computational intelligence, information security, and data mining. The need for intelligent, flexible behaviour by large, complex systems, especially in mission-critical domains, is intended to be the catalyst and the aggregation stimulus for the overall event. After a thorough peer-review process, the CISIS 2020 International Program Committee selected 43 papers which are published in these conference proceedings achieving an acceptance rate of 28%. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the CISIS 2020 edition was blended, combining on-site and on-line participation. In this relevant edition, a special emphasis was put on the organization of five special sessions related to relevant topics as Fake News Detection and Prevention, Mathematical Methods and Models in Cybersecurity, Measurements for a Dynamic Cyber-Risk Assessment, Cybersecurity in a Hybrid Quantum World, Anomaly/Intrusion Detection, and From the least to the least: cryptographic and data analytics solutions to fulfil least minimum privilege and endorse least minimum effort in information systems. The selection of papers was extremely rigorous in order to maintain the high quality of the conference and we would like to thank the members of the Program Committees for their hard work in the reviewing process. This is a crucial process to the creation of a high standard conference, and the CISIS conference would not exist without their help.
Papers collected here, from a December 2001 workshop held at the University of Central Florida, examine topics related to process coordination and ubiquitous computing. Papers on coordination models discuss areas such as space-based coordination and open distributed systems, global virtual data stru
Computer technology evolves at a rate that challenges companies to maintain appropriate security for their enterprises. With the rapid growth in Internet and www facilities, database and information systems security remains a key topic in businesses and in the public sector, with implications for the whole of society. Research Advances in Database and Information Systems Security covers issues related to security and privacy of information in a wide range of applications, including: Critical Infrastructure Protection; Electronic Commerce; Information Assurance; Intrusion Detection; Workflow; Policy Modeling; Multilevel Security; Role-Based Access Control; Data Mining; Data Warehouses; Temporal Authorization Models; Object-Oriented Databases. This book contains papers and panel discussions from the Thirteenth Annual Working Conference on Database Security, organized by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and held July 25-28, 1999, in Seattle, Washington, USA. Research Advances in Database and Information Systems Security provides invaluable reading for faculty and advanced students as well as for industrial researchers and practitioners engaged in database security research and development.
Over past few years, technologies have experienced boundaries getting blurred and concept of convergence to gain prominence. Harnessing from this, two main tracks for information processing management and communication are held, covering both research and application works of information management, intelligent information processing, interaction management, networking/ telecommunications, and social interaction. This book creates unique opportunity for research convergence among truly diverse technology domains of computer science. Leveraging from this diversity of topics, researchers get to generate novel research ideas by seeking application of their research in a different technology domain. This volume represents the collection of papers presented at the 13th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM 2019), held on 4-6 January 2019 in Phuket, Thailand. Out of 228 papers submitted from all around the world 88 papers were accepted for presentations. The 88 contributions to this volume are organized into 5 chapters: Chapter 1. Network Evolution, Chapter 2. Intelligent and Secure Network, Chapter 3. Image and Video Processing, Chapter 4. Information Technology and Society, and Chapter 5. Data Mining and Learning. Our editors wish readers to find this volume informative and enjoyable.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th Asian Computing Science Conference, ASIAN 2007, held in Doha, Qatar, in December 2007. Covering all current aspects of computer and network security, the papers are organized in topical sections on program security, computer security, access control, protocols, intrusion detection, network security, and safe execution.
