Excerpt from The Works of John Metham: Including the Romance of Amoryus and Cleopes The twenty-seventh of Henry VI is from September I, 1448, to August 31, 1449. There are no other indications of date in the manuscript except that it is of one piece throughout as regards handwriting and dedication to Sir Miles and Lady Stapleton. The main treatises are independent of each other in the composition of the signatures of the manuscript, and there is nothing to Show that they were intended to be bound together. The binding is late, probably of the seventeenth century, but it almost certainly replaced an older one. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
