A musician's life is upturned when a letter arrives at his doorstep. As the story unravels, a whole family shifts its dymanics and drama unsues. Daughters, wives and exwives, and all the women in his life get a say.
In a world that thrives on diversity, justice should be fundamental in every aspect of our society. This plays a major role in the wider world, where women should have equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. Unfortunately, the current situation for women is far from equal. Women are more affected in environmental or social issues such as climate change, poverty or abuse. They are more likely to suffer from less nutrition and less education. They have lower chances in running businesses or moving to higher positions. But what is the issue that lies behind it?
What is to love? To love is to be completely and truly drenched in the soul of another person. To be consumed by emotion, comfort and passion. To be in love is the luckiest thing - to be loved the most dangerous. For now and forever I want to feel, be, cry, laugh, kiss and hold her hand through it all. This is a heart evolving from ones coming out, through a first queer love, to getting ones heart broken and eventually healed. A collection of poetry about love, hurt, trying not to lose oneself in the other person and miserably failing at that.
A collection of my sleepless nights, and love letters I never got to send. Poems about growing up, family, queerness, and female rage.
Was beschäftigt die Frauen dieser Welt? Womit haben sie zu kämpfen? Was bewegt sie? Dieses Buch zeigt nur einen kleinen Ausschnitt dessen, womit Frauen heutzutage zu kämpfen haben, was sie bewegt, was sie lieben, was sie beschäftigt.
A provocative and bracing send-up of modern masculinity, from the author of Class and The Story of My Purity Marcello, an editor and poet, is on the brink of his forties. Like everyone in his life, including his sister-in-law, he’s writing a novel. This novel. This novel will be about women. Love. Growing older. Maybe even taking responsibility. But unfortunately for Marcello, the women in his life resist definition. They flit and flicker constantly between archetype and actuality: sirens and saviors, subordinates and savants, vixens and villains. So Marcello cannot write plainly about love. Instead, he tries to write into the complexities of his many relationships: Eleonora, the junior editor, his former protegeé and sometime lover; Barbara, his claustrophobic girlfriend; his estranged gay sister; his elegant mother. Fresh, frank, and painfully cool, Francesco Pacifico’s The Women I Love dives nakedly into gender, sex, and power. Set in a vivid and alcoholic Italy, it acknowledges and subverts the narrow ways canonical male writers gaze at, and somehow fail to see, women—illuminating the possibility of equity between people in love, in bed, in work, and in life.
If life has taught me one thing, it is to trust. Trust in the timing. Trust that things will fall into place, they always do. Trust in yourself. In your heart. In your light. In the things you burn for. Trust that you are so much more capable and worthy than what your limiting beliefs may tell you. Remember that you are not your thoughts. You don't have to believe everything you think. Trust that even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. How I know all this? Cause I've lived through it. I invite you to go on a journey with me. A journey through the pages of my life. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. From the most challenging of times, to the most unbelievable resolutions. Ready? Buckle up, we're going on a ride.

The love we share for entrepreneurship is a book for those of us who feel deep satisfaction when real-life problems are being solved. These are problems that affect the lives of people around us and problems that we cannot ignore. I am writing this book to showcase what we can achieve when we set up our minds for success. And what we can do when the journey gets tough. This book includes learnings from various female entrepreneurs who started social businesses in a country that became my second home over the past ten years: South Africa. It also serves as a medium for me to reflect on what I have learnt from my past life experiences while studying and working in the field of entrepreneurship education.
