It’s my story, it’s your story, and it’s the story of every middle-class family who has struggled in different phases of their life to live the dream they all see together. We sacrifice our present for a better tomorrow but what if there is no tomorrow. How helpless will you feel when you know that the biggest strength of your life is slowly going away and you can’t do anything? It’s not only about how you lived, but also how you died matters a lot.
Pollster and senior advisor to Bill Clinton's presidential campaign in 1992, Stanly Greenberg now offers a provocative assessment of the middle class's disillutionment with politics and the two major parties. Greenberg outlines the daunting challenges facing both parties, analyzes the 1994 election upheavals, and offers bold opinions about the upcoming presidential election.
About my book: The book entitled "The Shattered Dream"( A bouquet of short stories) is my maiden creation in which I endeavoured to present such stories which mainly highlight the dark elements and sinister as well as malicious intent of some hidden enemies who besiege us from all around thereby ruining our peace and serenity of minds. The common man sometimes feel utterly miserable and lonesome in dealing with such malignant forces. Life is not always a bed of roses for everybody; rather, it is replete with unconquerable and insurmountable diabolical elements casting their magical spell on all of us thereby making us enchained in their fetters without presenting any exit passage whatsoever therefrom. All the stories of this book not only raise thought-provoking questions in the minds of the readers but they also make them experience the pangs and sufferings of this mundane yet mysterious world along with the protagonists of each story. The purpose of this book is to explore the bitter truth of human life which is mostly poignant and filled with profound sorrow and grief.

This year, all the animals know the army will not stop till it has washed away their homes. Should they flee? Should they fight? Or will they trust the unlikeliest hero among them to save their lives? Find out what happens when even the littlest one decides to be brave, in this story of extraordinary courage, told by one of India's best children's writers.
Someone is killing people at ATMs. It's up to Detectives Phillips and Marshall to find and catch the killer. Unbeknownst to them, the killer is writing a script, and has a chapter for each murder. The killer leaves very little evidence behind, and when the detectives finally do have a suspect, it becomes a game of hide and seek as they attempt to gain the upper hand before he strikes again.
"I always believe that we should never stop dreaming because it is the first step to achieve something big in life. When we dream for something sincerely, we start taking small steps towards that direction. Each small step takes us nearer to our dream provided we maintain our patience and perseverance. When we sow a seed, we have to water it, nurture it until it becomes a tree. We can’t expect a seed to become a tree overnight.” - From this book
Novel based on partition of India.
Irene Spencer did as she felt God commanded in marrying her brother-in-law Verlan LeBaron, becoming his second wife. When the government raided the fundamentalist, polygamous Mormon village of Short Creek, Arizona, Irene and her family fled to Verlan's brothers' Mexican ranch. They lived in squalor and desolate conditions in the Mexican desert with Verlan's six brothers, one sister, and numerous wives and children. Readers will be appalled and astonished, but most amazingly, greatly inspired. Irene's dramatic story reveals how far religion can be stretched and abused and how one woman and her children found their way out, into truth and redemption.
Drawing on a textual analysis of over five hundred news reports, Deepa Kumar presents a rare, in-depth study of media representation of the 1997 United Parcel Service (UPS) workers' strike. She delineates the history of the strike, how it coincided with the rise of globalization, and how the mainstream media were pressured to incorporate pro-labor arguments that challenged the dominant logic of neoliberalism.
