NEW COVER Touring with four rockers is the thing of dreams... At least that is what people tell me. To me those four rockers are my family. They have watched over me from the time I was five years old. Protecting me from my mother and her drunken, drug addict rages. When they made it big they still watched over me. And when my monster of a mother died they took over as my guardians. In the six years since that happened I have watched over the four men that mean everything to me. I take care of them just as they once took care of me. I handle all the dirty work behind the scenes of a rockers life. It isn't always pretty. At times it can be damn near disgusting, especially when I have to get rid of their one night stands. Ugh! Taking care of them doesn't bother me though. I mean it's not like I'm in love with one of them. That would be crazy. Falling for a rocker is NOT smart. Okay, so I'm not smart. I love my guys, and one of them kind of holds my heart in his big old rocker hand. But I'm dealing. I've been able to keep it my little secret for years now. I'm not, however, dealing with this bug that I seem to have caught. It scares the hell out of me. I hate doctors, but I'm suddenly more worried about finding out what is wrong with me than what the doctor might do to me. When I get my test results back my life will never be the same again... ***Because of language and adult situations not suitable for readers under 17***

Then I opened my eyes and saw that everything I ever wanted was standing in front of me. From the first day I set eyes on Emmie she became a part of me. The guys and I spent years watching over her, caring for her... Loving her. Then without my realizing it my love for her changed. From the award-winning author of Waiting and War Trash: an urgent, timely novel that follows an aspiring author, an outrageous book idea, and a lone journalist's dogged quest for truth in the Internet age. New York, 2005. Chinese expatriate Feng Danlin is a fiercely principled reporter at a small news agency that produces a website read by the Chinese diaspora around the world. Danlin's explosive exposés have made him legendary among readers--and feared by Communist officials. But his newest assignment may be his undoing: investigating his ex-wife, Yan Haili, an unscrupulous novelist who has willingly become a pawn of the Chinese government in order to realize her dreams of literary stardom. Haili's scheme infuriates Danlin both morally and personally--he will do whatever it takes to expose her as a fraud. But in outing Haili, he is also provoking her powerful political allies, and he will need to draw on all of his journalistic cunning to emerge from this investigation with his career--and his life--still intact. A brilliant, darkly funny story of corruption, integrity, and the power of the pen, The Boat Rocker is a tour de force of modern fiction.
When all signs point to heartbreak, can love still be a rule of the road? A “touching father-daughter story” (Kirkus Reviews) from the author of Bittersweet and Twenty Boy Summer. Jude has learned a lot from her older sisters, but the most important thing is this: The Vargas brothers are notorious heartbreakers. She’s seen the tears and disasters that dating a Vargas boy can cause, and she swore an oath—with candles and a contract and everything—to never have anything to do with one. Now Jude is the only sister still living at home, and she’s spending the summer helping her ailing father restore his vintage motorcycle—which means hiring a mechanic to help out. Is it Jude’s fault he happens to be cute? And surprisingly sweet? And a Vargas? Jude tells herself it’s strictly bike business with Emilio. Her sisters will never find out, and Jude can spot those flirty little Vargas tricks a mile away—no way would she fall for them. But Jude’s defenses are crumbling, and if history is destined to repeat itself, she’s speeding toward some serious heartbreak…unless her sisters were wrong? Jude may have taken an oath, but she’s beginning to think that when it comes to love, some promises might be worth breaking.
NEW COVER-NEW BRAND-SAME BAND Axton I had it all, money, success, women to the left, right, front and back, and of course, the family ties of Demon's Wings, but it wasn't complete. Not until her. The tatted and pierced blonde bombshell, with her sassy mouth, and dangerous curves, was everything I didn't know I was missing until she was gone... Dallas I thought I was shattered by a Rock God, but I pulled it together, and just as I am finally fulfilling my dreams without him-there he is again. Still charming, gorgeous-still worshiped by millions. Nothing has changed except me. Stuck on tour with OtherWorld, can I dare to let myself trust Axton Cage, The Rocker Who Wants Me?
Written by Virginia Grohl, the mother of Dave Grohl—former Nirvana drummer and current frontman for the Foo Fighters—From Cradle to Stage shares stories and exclusive photos featuring mothers of rock icons, the icons themselves, and their Behind the Music-style relationships While the Grohl family had always been musical-the family sang together on long car trips, harmonizing to Motown and David Bowie-Virginia never expected her son to become a musician, let alone a rock star. But when she saw him perform in front of thousands of screaming fans for the first time, she knew that rock stardom was meant to be for her son. And as Virginia watched her son's star rise, she often wondered about the other mothers who raised sons and daughters who became rock stars. Were they as surprised as she was about their children's fame? Did they worry about their children's livelihood and wellbeing in an industry fraught with drugs and other dangers? Did they encourage their children's passions despite the odds against success, or attempt to dissuade them from their grandiose dreams? Do they remind their kids to pack a warm coat when they go on tour? Virginia decided to seek out other rock star mothers to ask these questions, and so began a two-year odyssey in which she interviewed such women as Verna Griffin, Dr. Dre's mother; Marianne Stipe, Michael Stipe of REM's mother; Janis Winehouse, Amy Winehouse's mother; Patsy Noah, Adam Levine's mother; Donna Haim, mother of the Haim sisters; Hester Diamond, Mike D of The Beastie Boys' mother. With exclusive family photographs and a foreword by Dave Grohl, From Cradle to Stage will appeal to mothers and rock fans everywhere.
I want to tell you a story about my paternal grandmother, who was a beautiful woman when she was young - genuinely, movie star beautiful. She was slender, with narrow hips and long limbs, yet voluptuous, blessed with shapely legs and a round, enviable bustline. Her dark brown hair fell past her shoulders and was thick and naturally wavy, but perhaps most striking, she had the lightest grey eyes that smiled without her having to move her mouth - which was slightly crooked - and she smiled often. She had the most wonderful, lyrical laugh, infectious to others, and she laughed easily. She carried herself with the grace of a ballerina, walked with a subtle sway in her step and was confident and carefree in a way you might expect the loveliest girl from a small town at the peak of her beauty and youthfulness to be.
Annabelle-I've always loved Zander Brockman in some shape or form. The boy who lived next door for the first seventeen years of my life has been my best friend, my confidant, my first crush, and my first love. I trusted him with my life and my heart. When he smiled at me I knew everything was going to be okay...Until it wasn't. Zander--I haven't seen that girl in seventeen years, and I've missed her every damn day. I knew I wasn't good enough for her, so the night before I left with my band-brothers for California, I stole a night with her. I lived off those memories. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I haven't wanted to talk to her just one more time, but I knew she deserved a better man than me. Now, after seeing her again, I realize that I didn't care if she should have a better man. My feelings were still as strong as they have ever been for her. I wanted to be with her... But she hated the very sight of me.
