Excerpt from Minutes if the Twenty-Ninth Session of the Cincinnati Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church: Held in Middletown, Ohio, September 1-6, 1880 After the hymn was sung the Conference was led in prayer by the Bishop. After the singing of a second hymn Bishop Peck consecrated the elements for the Lord's-supper, and administered the sacrament to the presiding elders. The service was continued until the ministers and laity present had communed. Following the sacrament Bishop Peck took the chair, and the Secre tary of the last session called the roll of the Conference. One hundred and thirty-three answered to their names.
