Were this subject thoroughly understood, it is safe to assert that divorces and crime would be reduced fully seventy-five per cent. A lack of space prevents me from going into details concerning the above assertion, but any person who will seriously examine into the proportion, can prove it to his own satisfaction. Excerpt from The Herald of the Golden Age and British Health Review, Vol. 15: April, 1912 Movement thus rests upon the highest principles of ethics - justice and Compassion. Again, consider the question of national economy. The enormous - the incalculable waste of national resources induced by the prevalence of pastoralism - that is feeding beasts on the land instead of employing it for cultivation. It has led to a neglect of agriculture which has placed England (if we go to war with a powerful enemy possessed of a powerful eet) in the position of a fort victualled for about six weeks, and for six weeks only. When land is used to grow cattle, it is far less productive than when used for its original purpose, as the following illustration shows.
