Nathaniel Thayer (1640-1725) was the great great grandson of John TAYER who was born about 1500 (of) Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England. The Thayer family resided in Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England until 5 heads of families immigrated to America in the mid-1600's. It was not discovered until 2003 (after the publication of Vol. II) that Nathaniel Thayer's father, William also immigrated. It is believed they came to America in about 1645.
