The adventures surrounding a mystery
Here’s a perfect introduction to our farm friends. Is there anything cuter than a little lamb or playful piglet? Farm animals are fascinating, and they are full of surprises, too. Naturally, cows make milk—but did you know they need to drink a bathtub-full of water every day? And of course the turkeys gobble—but sometimes they purr like cats. Wendell Minor’s bright, bold artwork and jaunty verse celebrate the wonders of our farm friends.
Redmond O'Hanlon is known as an amiable anti-hero - the debunker of classical exploration literature - and here on this joint road trip with journalist Rudi Rotthier, O'Hanlon visits places from his dark childhood. With a fine sense of the comic and beautifully rendered observations of the people they encounter, Rotthier excels in painting a portrait of this English author as he details the escapades of their journey. O'Hanlon provides a stream of jokey anecdotes which offset the bleakness of almost all his memories as do their conversations on God, Darwin and nature. Plagued by depression and scarred by his childhood and sadistic teachers, O'Hanlon drinks excessively, pops caffeine and nicotine pills. One of his most important possessions is a jar containing some of the charred remains of a close friend who committed suicide. In his house in Oxfordshire piles of books have spilled over tables and shelves and tottering mounds of dirty crockery obscure the sink. Yet, unlikely as it may seem, this is a remarkably light-hearted, sensitive and funny book.
The second, brilliantly funny, story about Hettie the loveable highland cow

Fourth De: "The madame has to wait for her makeup; the madame has to give up her money; the madame has to endure her anger; the madame has to remember her birthdays." Everyone envied him how mighty he was, a prince of the Crown Prince's house, holding a golden spoon in his mouth. However, who would have known that he would be so scared that he would start to fight with the kitten every day. Then, he would take a wrong step and wash his clothes on a wooden board. She was clearly a 'naive and innocent' peasant girl, but in the blink of an eye, she turned into a tigress who was secretly stealing her lungs. Three from four minds remember, only for the Madame's appearance. Husband and wife returned to the fields, and the imperial power and wealth could be thrown away.
Yu Ning had gone through so much difficulty to encounter rebirth, this sort of exciting event. She had originally thought that she would achieve the legend of 'a silly girl turning into a phoenix', obtaining the support of her golden fingers and a guide from her senior. But now, reality had told her that none of this existed! Her identity was "the silly daughter of the landowner". She didn't have any dou qi, just a bankrupt family, a pair of unreliable parents, and a village with very few people. The heavens probably wanted to play her to death ...
