John Finley was born 7 July 1748 in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. His parents were John Finley and Martha Berkley. He married Hannah Duncan in Pittsburgh in 1790. They had seven children. He died 10 April 1837 in Kentucky. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Scotland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, and California. Includes other early immigrants named Finley and a history of the family in Britain.
