Excerpt from Current Developments in the Farm Real Estate Market: March-July, 1959; Ars 43-110 Market values of farm real estate in the United States continued to increase during the spring and early summer of 1959, but the rate was less than that of previous periods. The July 1, 1959, index of average value of farm real estate (land and buildings) per acre was 169 (1947-49=loob, 1 per cent above the March 1 level, and a new record high. As of July 1, the total dollar value of farm real estate was estimated at billion. The total increase in average value since July 1, 1958, amounted to 6 percent.
