We have the same long lists of those who were fined for selling Ale and Beer by unsealed [or unstamped] measures contrary to the statute, for disposing of bread contrary to the laws regulating its sale, and for making spice bread, &c. Here, too, we find mention of the various kinds of bread at that time in use in the town, such as the fine rolls called manchets, the coarser household loaf, and bolted bread.
