The purposes of this study were: First, to find how the use of cotton, silk, and rayon in the different garments worn by men and women had changed during the preceding five years and the consumer's reasons for making such changes; and second, to determine the extent to which cotton is used in household articles at present and whether there is a tendency for its use in these articles to increase or decrease relative to other textile fibers.
