Ague is divided into three principal kinds: the Quotidian, having an intermission of twenty-four hours; the Tertian, having an intermission of fortyeight hours; and the Quartan, having an intermission of seventy-two hours. Each paroxysm has three stages: a cold stage, a hot stage, and a sweating stage. The indication is to make the stages succeed each other as speedily as possible. BE MEDIA.
