With sixty descriptive maps and accompanying text, The Biodiversity Atlas of British Columbia provides a broad overview of the province?s range of terrestrial and freshwater biological diversity. The Global Atlas of Marine Fisheries is the first and only book to provide accurate, country-by-country fishery catch data. This groundbreaking information has been gathered from independent sources by the world's foremost fisheries experts. Edited by Daniel Pauly and Dirk Zeller of the Sea Around Us Project, the Atlas includes one-page reports on 273 countries and their territories, plus fourteen topical global chapters. Each national report describes the current state of the country's fishery; the policies, politics, and social factors affecting it; and potential solutions. The global chapters address cross-cutting issues, from the economics of fisheries to the impacts of mariculture. Extensive maps and graphics offer attractive and accessible visual representations.
This manual provides illustrated keys to all leaf and scale lichens known to occur in British Columbia. In total, 327 species are included, while 19 taxa are excluded from earlier accounts of the flora. Accompanying the keys are approximately 350 line drawings. The manual briefly summarizes the ecology, distribution, and frequency status of the province's foliose and squamulose lichens. Each genus account provides a common name, a short description, pertinent references, notes on the derivation of the common name, and notes on global status and distribution, taxonomy, chemistry, and/or similar genera. Each species account provides species and author citation, distribution maps, common names, habit, and lichen distribution in B.C.

Each map includes links to one or more of the series articles. Maps include interactive components, with clickable icons to deliver the data and statistics that make up each map.
