Zusammenfassung: This book features selected papers from the 10th International Conference on Mathematics and Computing (ICMC 2024), held at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), Krishnankoil, India during 2 - 7 January 2024. It covers recent advances in the field of mathematics, statistics, and scientific computing. The book presents innovative work by leading academics, researchers, and experts from industry in mathematics, statistics, cryptography, network security, cyber security, machine learning, data analytics and blockchain technology in computer science and information technology. The book is divided into two volumes
The emergence of new paradigms for data management raises a variety of exciting challenges. An important goal of database theory is to answer these challenges by providing sound foundations for the development of the field. This volume contains the papers selected for the third International Conference on Database Theory, ICDT'90. The conferences in this series are held biannually in beautiful European cities, Rome in 1986 and Bruges in 1988 with proceedings published as volumes 234 and 326 in the same series. ICDT'90 was organized in Paris by the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique. The conference features 2 invited presentations and 31 papers selected from 129 submissions. The papers describe original ideas and new results on the foundations of databases, knowledge bases, object-oriented databases, relational theory, transaction management, data structures and deductive databases. The volume offers a good overview of the state of the art and the current trends in database theory. It should be a valuable source of information for researchers interested in the field.
Proceedings of the September 1999 workshop on defining requirements for future systems in the areas of database and artificial technologies. The 151 contributions discuss innovative applications and new architectures; mobility in databases and distributed systems; similarity search; web-based inform"
This volume constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Object-Oriented and Entity-Relationship Modelling, OOER '95, held in Gold Coast, Australia in December 1995. The 36 papers presented together with an invited presentation by Gio Wiederhold were selected from a total of 120 submissions. The papers are organized in sections on object design and modelling, models and languages, reverse engineering and schema transformation, behavioral modelling, non-traditional modelling, theoretical foundations, business re-engineering, integrated approaches, cooperative work modelling, temporal data modelling, federated systems design, and industrial stream papers
Advances in wireless technologies promise to revolutionize the way we conduct business. This book provides complete coverage of the enabling technologies needed to make wireless e-business effective. These include wireless security, mobile payment, location-based services, mobile data management, and RFID technologies. The authors are highly distinguished. Dr. Weidong Kou is a Chief Architect and a Senior Manager of IBM Greater China Group, and a Laureate of 2004 Friendship Award of China. Dr. Yelena Yesha is an Exceptional Research Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland. This book is an ideal introduction for both self-study and taught e-business classes or commercial training.
This book gathers papers presented at the 10th International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing (ICGEC 2016). The conference was co-sponsored by Springer, Fujian University of Technology in China, the University of Computer Studies in Yangon, University of Miyazaki in Japan, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences in Taiwan, Taiwan Association for Web Intelligence Consortium, and VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. The ICGEC 2016, which was held from November 7 to 9, 2016 in Fuzhou City, China, was intended as an international forum for researchers and professionals in all areas of genetic and evolutionary computing.
The 17th International Workshop on Languages and Compilers for High Performance Computing was hosted by Purdue University in September 2004 on Purdue campus in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the First International Conference on Advances in Computing and Information Technology, ACITY 2011, held in Chennai, India, in July 2011. The 55 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers feature significant contributions to all major fields of the Computer Science and Information Technology in theoretical and practical aspects.
This book and its sister volume, LNAI 3613 and 3614, constitute the proce- ings of the Second International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2005), jointly held with the First International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC 2005, LNCS 3610, 3611, and 3612) from - gust 27–29, 2005 in Changsha, Hunan, China. FSKD 2005 successfully attracted 1249 submissions from 32 countries/regions (the joint ICNC-FSKD 2005 received 3136 submissions). After rigorous reviews, 333 high-quality papers, i. e. , 206 long papers and 127 short papers, were included in the FSKD 2005 proceedings, r- resenting an acceptance rate of 26. 7%. The ICNC-FSKD 2005 conference featured the most up-to-date research - sults in computational algorithms inspired from nature, including biological, e- logical, and physical systems. It is an exciting and emerging interdisciplinary area in which a wide range of techniques and methods are being studied for dealing with large, complex, and dynamic problems. The joint conferences also promoted cross-fertilization over these exciting and yet closely-related areas, which had a signi?cant impact on the advancement of these important technologies. Speci?c areas included computation with words, fuzzy computation, granular com- tation, neural computation, quantum computation, evolutionary computation, DNA computation, chemical computation, information processing in cells and tissues, molecular computation, arti?cial life, swarm intelligence, ants colony, arti?cial immune systems, etc. , with innovative applications to knowledge d- covery, ?nance, operations research, and more.
