Volume II includes sonatinas at a more advanced level than Volume I. Here we offer six sonatinas from various composers and periods to further introduce students to this musical form before going into the complete sonatas. Composers represented in this volume include BartÑk, Beethoven, Benda, Clementi, Dusek, and Kuhlau.
Originally compiled and edited by Louis Kí_hler, this edition contains some of the most popular keyboard sonatinas, rondos and other works (including symphonic transcriptions) of Beethoven, Clementi, Haydn, Kuhlau and Mozart, among others. In clarifying this edition, editor Allan Small has removed impractical fingerings and unnecessary accidentals found in other editions.
Volume II includes another eight of Scarlatti's most often taught and performed piano sonatas. As with volume I, this compilation contains a biography of the composer, careful editing of the selected sonatas, and written-out ornaments to better aid any aspiring young piano student. A must have!

Brahms brilliantly captured the spontaneity and passion of Hungarian gypsy music in his 21 Hungarian Dances. In this volume containing dances 11-21, editors Carol Ann Bell and Digby Bell have scrutinized all available autograph manuscripts of the duet, solo and orchestral versions and compared them with the earliest printed editions to produce the most scholarly, critical body of these works available today. Performance notes, helpful fingering suggestions, ornament realizations, and a wealth of historical background are provided.
