The story is so strange that not even the narrator is sure he has it correct, despite having been there for the entire ordeal. Follow the journey for yourself and see how a group of young, small-town boys react when they were repeatedly asked by the space traveler “Have you see Him?” This is truly a story with meanings on many levels and will leave its readers not only surprised but in deep thought and contemplation. Though written as a children’s book, surely readers of all ages will enjoy this story and will find themselves asking others “Have you seen Him?”
"From the first line of Just by Looking at Him, you'll know this story is so much more than boy meets boy. First, there's the humor. Elliot is a writer who spends his days navigating the back stabbing, the pressure, and the day to day snark of writing aggressively average television. In laugh out loud detail, we're immediately with him on his journey to try to get his lines onto the screen. But there's a deeper, and more poignant, story beating at the heart of this would be rom com. Instead of the usual boy meets boy, the person you really fall in love, the one you're rooting for until the end, is the protagonist himself. As a gay man with cerebral palsy, Elliot has always searched for the one, and he thought he found that person in Gus, his doting boyfriend. And yet, he can't seem to stop cheating. Elliot falls into a rabbit hole of sex, drinking, and addiction, and ultimately learns that the person he truly needs to learn to accept is himself. As incisive commentary on gay life today, a heart centered, laugh out loud exploration of self and a rare insight into life as a person with disabilities who refuses to be a victim, critics and readers alike will fall in love with this story"--
This book has been written to share many of the now available insights into what our God is really like. The two sources for these insights are clearly identified by Paul in Romans 1:19-20. What God is really like has been revealed to us through the biblical record and by the things he has made. This volume honors both sources of insight. Many insights are drawn from Genesis, Exodus, Daniel, Hebrews, John' Revelations and The Four Gospels; each of these gospels provides us a different perspective on who Jesus really was. John's Revelation provides us the climax of what is now becoming visible to us. The Geological Survey of Israel has compiled a two-volume set entitled Research in Sinai (1967-1980). This excellent work provides us the physical basis for understanding what happened during all the experiences in the Holy Land. This published work was written at the Graduate School level and has been provided in easy to visualize language for today's readers. My background in military matters has provided me with the special insights into land warfare in Old Testament times up to the present. Although John never saw tanks, helicopters, personnel carriers, etc., he described them as they appeared to him in his visions. The literary framework of John's Revelation is that of Apocalyptic Literature. This style is clearly revealed in Daniel's visions. Not understanding this has led to the many conflicting interpretations of John's Revelations. The use of all the currently available sources will provide us with a much more complete view of who Jesus was, is and will forever be. He is the foundation upon which the abundant life of John 10:10 can be built.
