Eva is a smart and curious child, just like many of us. Endowed with a bit of wisdom beyond her years, she perceptively questions how and why scientists spend so much time and effort exploring distant planets, opening up a great conversation with her mother that explores such deep and meaningful topics as conservation, accountability and planetary preservation. There are many ways of teaching children how to save this planet, but we chose a different method: saying it out loud. Kids are smart, and many of them are more intuitive than adults. This book is an experiment designed to enlighten young and old about the greatness of this planet and to come up with ways to save it at the same time. The star of our show is Eva, whose name means "life". Although she is a fictional character, we hope to convey the notion that many children on this planet are just like her, thus implying that there is so much life on this planet. If you like our book, please dedicate a tree to your dear ones, or just do your part to keep our planet clean and healthy any way you think will help.About Authors: Ashwika Bandaru: As a child, I loved to listen to my parents read to me. When I learned how to read on my own, I would read to myself every chance I got. I became obsessed with books and reading as I grew older, and would spend my entire summer devouring one book after another. In the summer of 2018, I was selected as one of the top 100 readers in the state of Tennessee, and was invited by our governor and his wife to attend a fun-filled evening and dinner with them. This helped me realize that reading is both fascinating and can also garner attention! Eventually, I decided that I wanted to write books as well; this is my first attempt. I am nine years old, the age of the girl in my book. I live in Collierville, Tennessee. These are some things about me I hope you like in my book.Tharun Bejawada: I work as a Software Developer at FedEx Services and live in Memphis, Tennessee. Ashwika is my niece and she is my inspiration for writing this book. At age 9, she has already read more books than I did in my entire 25 years of living. I am not a big fan of reading or writing, but always try to do something that helps others. I initially thought of making this story as a short film and upload it to YouTube, but as I started developing the story, I realized that releasing it as a children's book would be a better idea because all the good things I learned are from my childhood. In the near future, our younger generation will have a big mess to clean up and it is my hope that this book will ignite an idea within our Earth's children, so that they may come up with a colorful solution that helps makes this Earth more beautiful than ever before.
