There are also some features in our existing criminal code which entirely disappear in the present, and which it is therefore proper should be noticed here. It is an adaptation of Section 1 of the Code of 1860 and Section 1 of the Federal Penal Code of 1909. It omits the requirement that the accused owe allegiance to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The penalty is increased from a maximum of twelve years-to life imprisonment. Section 2 replaces Section 2 of the Code of 1860.
