Contains records of the church from its incorporation in 1892 until its merger with St. Mark's Lutheran Church in 2016. Box 1 holds items relevant to worship service such as holy bibles, hymnals and song books, and poems written by Pastor A. F. Rohr. An item of significance in this box is a family record registration, identifying early members and their families. The congregation had an active Sunday School program and several women's groups. The secretary and treasurer records of these organizations are found in the second box. The third box holds records of the financial secretary and treasurer in addition to the annual reports of the congregation from 1954-2015. The fourth box contains the parish council secretary's minutes from 1892 to 2016 with a gap for the years 1937-1965. The last box of the collection holds membership records and photographs of some church activities. Other items of historical interest include the 1892 Articles of Incorporation certificate, two baptismal certificates, articles from the 2001 cornerstone, and a home communion set from 1896.
Contains one record book containing meeting minutes and two pieces of correspondence.
Although Trinity Lutheran Church in Baltimore was once one of the largest and most active congregations in the city, sadly after 160 years, the congregation came to an end in the mid 1990s. During those sixteen decades, many thousands of people participated in the church sacraments of baptism, marriage, burial, confirmation and communion. Since civil registration in Baltimore City did not commence until 1875, nineteenth-century church records may be the only source of information about otherwise unrecorded countless lives. This volume contains extractions, transcriptions, and translations of data from baptismal, marriage, burial, confirmation, and communion entries in Trinity's only surviving church register, which dates from 1853 to 1877. It also contains an index to every recorded individual from the register. There are roughly 26,000 entries.
