Author, Dr. Kimely R. Davis, has prepared this in depth study, which focuses on establishing and maintaining ministry for the missing age group entitled Generation X. Dr. Davis, who defines Generation X as those born between 1965 and 1978; representing the age group of 32 to 45, uses a local church as her ministry model. This informative book will present the process needed to generate and strengthen the nature of the missing generation in today's church and their integration and inclusion into the local church, in such a way that Generation X will engage more in the life of the church. The research gained has revealed that the young people of today know less about Jesus Christ than any other generation in history. It seems that the church has failed to ascertain the importance of the appearance and participation of Generation X in today's church. This is evident because little or no attention is shown in the absenteeism of Generation X in the church. This scholarly presentation will prove that the majority of Generation X continues to abandon the church at a rapid rate or for that matter never attend church. As a member of Generation X, I am challenged to see that Generation X not only attend church, but grow in their spiritual walk and spiritual services for the Lord.
