For the past months the world has been plunged into inexplicable weather phenomena. Seemingly perpetual rain, the sun switching places with intense thunderstorms in the span of minutes or turbulent winds that seem to come and go with no pattern. Nobody is able to explain what is happening and most people have started to simply adjust. If nobody can solve the problem, people might as well just learn to live with it. In this summer of perpetual rain Sal makes a new acquaintance. A chance to get his broken life back together.
Rainy Days, follows Valeria as she navigates the stormy seas of adolescence, trapped in a never-ending rainstorm of routine. School, friendships, and societal expectations, beat down on her like raindrops on a window. As she seeks comfort in the sanctuary of her thoughts. Valeria grapples with feelings of uncertainty and discontent. She longs for something more meaningful, yearning to break free from the restrains of her ordinary existence. Uncertainty and dissatisfaction cloud her mind. Join Valeria on a journey of self-discovery as she confronts the shadows of her past and seeks clarity and purpose in a foggy storm.
No one waits for rain on the Rhein, especially in Köln, where the sun always shines. Just like Sarah Köllwitz, who is living her best student life in this new city; she never wish for a rainy day. There are always things to do for herself in many different corner of this warm city. Budi Jayanto also never wish for a rain, but his first year in Köln makes him feel that every day is cloudy and his heart is rainy. But one late night encounter and another coincidental meet-up that is too cute to be true later, they learn a whole new world and a whole new feeling. Rain doesn't really bother them anymore. This is a story of two people who learn how to love from the absence of love. They try to see, understand ,and learn from each other until they understand what love needs from them and what they need from each other.
Few people cherish the earthy smell after a heavy downpour. Others declare even slightly cloudy skies a disaster, long before a single drop of water softly rolls down their face. Most people I know complain about those cozy grey days that come with the most refreshing, crisp air you could ever breathe. And so does Kai. As if hating something you cant change makes it any better. Or does it?
This book contains a short collection of my english poems. Most of them were created when it was raining. Others came from my imagination. Some of are inspired by the people in my life. And one of them is about the person without whose help and expertise I would not have published this book.

In the pages of this humble book lies a symphony of thoughts and viewpoints entwine, some dancing in harmony, others entangled in discordant embrace. To such an extent, it nearly mirrors the essence of myself, of yourself, and perhaps, kindred souls among us.
This collection of poems is a portal to a secret world. A world that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is hidden in the ordinary moments of our daily lives. A world beyond ordinary colours. Can you see it too? All the photos in this book were taken by my friend and street photographer Prateek Soni in and around Vienna. Check out more of his amazing work on Instagram and soon on his website, which I hope he will finally make one day.
