This is about my journey with pseudo tumor cerebri, also known as IIH. When I was diagnosed with this disease, I lost everything. With nothing, my journey was long and hard, but with prayer I was able to make it. I will be a survivor because of it, too.
-Why is this world the only planet that has air we can breathe? -Why is this world the only planet to be controlled by time? -Th is planet was covered with water 6,000 years ago, what happened? -How long will people live on earth? -Will this earth last forever? -Why was this earth made? -Death means separation. Your spirit will leave this body. Question: Where will you live forever? Death means separation. You will be separated from your earthly body. There are two places you will live after you die Heaven or Hell. It is not enough to believe in Jesus. Even Satan and his demons believe and tremble in Hell at the name of Jesus. So what good does it do to know Jesus? Noneif you do not believe His word. Read this book to find what His promises are and how to use them. Are you able to return from the grave and live forever? A lot of people have come alive again. My question is: how many live that resurrection life forever? Do you know who you will live with forever? Do you believe you will meet your loved ones after you die? If you are in Hell, you will be hurting to the point that you will be saying, just let me die. But you have died for the last time. To answer the question, you will be hurting so much you will not care what or who is around you. Please believe what I write and stay out of Hell. This is my blessing to you.

As all of us know, life has its ups and downs. In many ways life truly is a rollercoaster. A rollercoaster goes up, comes down, goes around curves, enters the dark at times, twists, and in some cases, goes backwards. I think that using a rollercoaster is a great example that can describe life perfectly. How is one able to navigate all the ups and downs, twists, and turns, as well as the darkness that is experienced on occasions? The key, I believe, is a faith in a living God. This living God allows Himself to be known through the person of Jesus Christ. This devotional is slightly different than most devotionals. The devotionals contained in this volume were written over a period of time and as the current events were taking place. As you will experience, there are numerous events mentioned that were part of our lives, some that may be distant to you and some that occurred daily that you may have been somewhat close. Since I am a sports junkie, you will find several references in this devotional pertaining to sporting events that have taken place. Most of the sporting events refer to the teams in Philadelphia. Each devotion is two pages in length and is written in a way to help you think about your relationship with God. It is my prayer that after completing the reading of this devotional you will find yourself closer to God and understand who He is clearer.
A Dream and a Prayer (One Mans Journey) is the refreshing of my spirit through prayer and meditation. I am alone and lost in a cold dark world with no place to turn except to the author and finisher of life its self. I am seeking relief and comfort while trying to open my heart to a new life of perfect love through Jesus Christ. These poems are the beginning of a once lost hope for a bright future. I am exploring myself and the means to change the tattered and torn wretch of a man that I had become. I can only hope that my life experiences, strengths, weakness, successes, and failures help others to reach out and take hold of their lost dreams and make them into a reality.
In January 2016, Sister Wilma had just completed the Daniel Fast. It was put in her thoughts to start a Prayer Call for people who couldn’t get out to Church during the week. This call would be every Monday at 8:00 am CST. In March 2016 Elder Shirley Rice joined our Prayer Group. She Blessed us with the name Wake Up To Praise and went to Crown Point Indiana to legally get the rights to that name. Later we started a Bible Study Class on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm CST. Elder Shirley taught our first class, Minister Adrienne Watson taught our second class. Every week we would have a different pastor speak from different states. Among them was Lady Pat’s husband Bishop Alfonso Boone. One day Lady Pat asked Pastor Patterson if he would teach our Bible Study Class, he said yes! We Thank God that Pastor Patterson has continued to teach along with Elder Shirley, empowering us with Gods News!! We are thankful to God for Blessing us with such dedicated and anointed teachers. We appreciate and thank Lady Pamela Patterson and Brother Larry Rice for always allowing their spouses to take time out of their busy schedules to Bless us with Gods Word.
How I Made It Through The spectacular thing about faith is that it doesn't stay a mustard seed always. Faith grows! It is planted as a mustard seed and fertilized through tests, trials, and tribulations Then faith flourishes on the inside, sprouting into something wonderful on the outside of you. Faith is nourished in you by trial and error and can be noticed by those who interact with you. How I Made It Through is about how faith helped me throughout my challenges against breast cancer while carrying my fifth child. This book is filled with short stories designed to motivate and encourage women and men to fight the good fight of faith. Cancer is a giant, and it can be conquered by faith.
What does it mean when God is presented as male? What does it mean when - from our internal assumptions to our shared cultural imaginings - God is presented as white? These are the urgent questions Chine McDonald asks in a searing look at her experience of being a Black woman in the white-majority space that is the UK church - a church that is being abandoned by Black women no longer able to grin and bear its casual racism, colonialist narratives and lack of urgency on issues of racial justice. Part memoir, part social and theological commentary, God Is Not a White Man is a must-read for anyone troubled by a culture that insists everyone is equal in God's sight, yet fails to confront white supremacy; a lament about the state of race and faith, and a clarion call for us all to do better. 'This book is much-needed medicine for a sickness that we cannot ignore.' - The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry
