In a quest for clarity in her life, author Nancy Lee Hamilton realized that she had allowed herself to become vulnerable to life circumstances that come along to kick you in the knee. She had arrived at a place she said she would never go. Unprepared, she found herself in a conflicting situationone that threatened to rip her to pieces. In Pieces of My Life, Nancy Lee Hamilton explores the past she has lived through, both good and bad, and tries to piece the memories, philosophies, and dreams togetherverbalizing humanity's common questions: Have I done something wrong to cause God to turn his face from me? Is there some great lesson in my problems, in this life, that I just am not seeing? What, in this life, is important? Gather up the pieces in your own life and join in the author's refrain, 'I know that if I cannot beat it, I will adapt, but I will not give up the fight.' "
Kevin should be living the life of every eighteen-year-old—applying to colleges, procrastinating on homework, and hanging with friends. Instead, he’s starting senior year at a new school, still struggling to cope with the sudden and tragic death of his secret boyfriend a mere two months ago. He just wants to go to school, do the work, and go home…and not talk to anyone. But that plan is foiled by Wesley, an arrogant, talkative jock who just won’t leave Kevin alone. It gets even worse when they’re assigned to work together on a project. And it really hits rock bottom when Kevin realizes Wesley is flirting with him. But maybe this could be a good thing—for both of them. With Wesley being closeted, maybe Kevin can help him make peace with who he is. And if he explores this flirtation with Wesley, this might be the thing to help Kevin work through the grief that clouds his days and find the light of happiness again.

"To have more we must first become more", is the very essence of the philosophy of personal development, success and happiness addressed by Jim Rohn in The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle. This book presents a realistic and powerful formula for the attainment of success and happiness. The philosophy presented in these pages is a blending of many of Mr Rohn's publicly expressed insights combined with an abundance of new material from his private journals. The final result is a stimulating and inspiring creation that brings hope to those who are uncertain, encouragement to those who are discouraged, and new understanding to those who are bewildered by the complexitiies of modern society. It teaches that the journey is as important as the arrival.

Imagine spending time with Philip Yancey, Chuck Colson, Desmond Tutu, John Ortberg, Eugene Peterson, Joni Eareckson Tada, Rich Stearns, and Kay Warrenjust to name a fewtalking about practical, real ways to live like a Good Samaritan. It was insightful, instructive and inspiring. But most of all it was approachable and real!
