A brief guide to the Patna Museum collections. The museum was formally established in 1917, and moved to its dedicated building in 1928. At the time of publication the museum has collected more than 50,000 objects and is a significant repository of ancient Indian culture and tradition. Its collections include archaeology, art, coins, ethnology, natural history, old arms and war trophies, geological, estampages and plaster casts, industrial and Dr Rajendra Prasad's collection.
