The technological advances in Biomedical and Health Informatics (BMHI) in the last 4 decades could barely have been imagined when the field was in its infancy. At the time, computers were large and unwieldy, memory was measured in kilobytes, and the Internet was accessible only to people in the technology professions. How the world has changed. The skills of BMHI are now essential for everyone who participates in healthcare, from practitioners and researchers to administrators and patients. This book presents the 17 accepted papers of the International Symposium on Achievements, Milestones, and Challenges in Biomedical and Health Informatics (BMHI), held in Athens, Greece, on 29 October 2022.
