Prayer is the bridge that allows pastors and lay people to partner together effectively in ministry. Writing in a warm, anecdotal style with lots of practical hands-on help, Maxwell describes how this method of support has been proven to work time and again in churches of all sizes. This book gives a complete plan to create a prayer-partner ministry in any local church.
Offers guidance on how to connect with others through prayer regardless of background and affiliation, explaining how the authors developed their own process and sharing hands-on exercises for developing a group prayer practice.

Could the gospel be lost in evangelical churches? In this book, J.D. Greear shows how moralism and legalism have often eclipsed the gospel, even in conservative churches. Gospel cuts through the superficiality of religion and reacquaints you with the revolutionary truth of God's gracious acceptance of us in Christ. The gospel is the power of God, and the only true source of joy, freedom, radical generosity, and audacious faith. The gospel produces in us what religion never could: a heart that desires God. The book’s core is a “gospel prayer” by which you can saturate yourself in the gospel daily. Dwelling on the gospel will release in you new depths of passion for God and take you to new heights of obedience to Him. Gospel gives you an applicable, exciting vision of how God will use you to bring His healing to the world.
Based on the keynote message that so moved government leaders at the 2017 National Prayer Breakfast, U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black’s Make Your Voice Heard in Heaven shows us how to pray prayers that God will hear. Now more than ever, we are fighting for our voices to be heard on earth. We march, we tweet, we advocate on behalf of the voiceless, calling those in power to listen and come alongside us. Sometimes it feels as if we’re never going to be heard and nothing will ever change. Known for his powerful prayers, Chaplain Black challenges us, individually and collectively, to make ourselves heard in a way that really changes things—by calling upon the one who holds ultimate power. Through personal story and practical insight, Make Your Voice Heard in Heaven helps us learn to pray in a way that releases God’s power and unleashes His blessing.
Women today feel a constant pressure to improve themselves and just never feel like they're "enough." All too often, they live their daily lives disheartened, disillusioned, and disappointed. That's because joy doesn't come from a new self-improvement strategy; it comes from rooting their identity in who God says they are and what he has done on their behalf. This book calls women to look away from themselves in order to find the abundant life God offers them—contrasting the cultural emphasis on personal improvement and empowerment with what the Scriptures say about a life rooted, built up, and established in the gospel.
In this book, the authors uncovered a startling interpretation of the Lord's Prayer via an ancient, but well-known and well-tested mathematical method used by the Jews to study and interpret the Torah (the five books of Moses) and the Tanakh (the Jewish Bible). It is called gematria, which is a system of assigning a numerical value to each letter in an alphabet. The Jews and Greeks have their own gematriot or gematrias (plural of gematria) with well-accepted standard values. Using gematria within a mathematical framework based on the Scripture, the authors discovered the following 12 attributes of the Lord's Prayer: [1] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, the grace and peace we receive from the Father is multiplied or increased by the power of the Holy Spirit.[2] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we acknowledge the sovereignty of the Father.[3] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we proclaim our faith in the fulfillment of the will of His Father in His Son, Jesus Christ.[4] The Lord's Prayer is the foremost proclamation of faith in the fulfillment of the will of His Father in His Son, Jesus Christ.[5] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we acknowledge the Father and His love for us.[6] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we are led by the Holy Spirit to become more like Jesus Christ.[7] When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the judge of humanity. [8] It is the will of the Father that we should pray the Lord's Prayer at the times acceptable to Him.[9] The Lord's Prayer is to be prayed daily at the prescribed times, namely, {10.35am,10.53am,1.35pm,1.53pm,3.15pm, 3.51pm, 5.13pm, 5.31pm}.[10] The Lord's Prayer, prayed daily at the prescribed times, presents our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.[11] At the prescribed times, we can accompany the Lord's Prayer with our own personal prayers of thanksgiving and requests. [12] The Lord's Prayer is the covenant of the Redeemer of Isaiah 59, Jesus Christ. They concluded by showing that the Cross of Jesus Christ is the sign of the covenant of the Redeemer of Isaiah 59.
