When we talk about Vedas, we hear lot many jargons/ concepts like - Shruti, Smruti, Puranas, Caturvedas, Rig, Yajur, Sama, Atharvana, Vedantas, Vedangas, Shiksha, Vyakaraņa, Chandas, Nirukta, Jyotisha, Nyaya, Dharma Shastras, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Kavya and so on so forth. What are all these? All they are one and the same or different? Are they part of Vedas or out of them? Are Vedas meant for one particular religion or caste? Can they be chant by others? Lot many doubts/ clarifications/ hesitations ponder in our mind. In early days, teaching media were limited. The youngsters learned from their father, grand-father, teachers and other pouranikas. Also the youngsters agreed and accepted whatever told by them without any questions. But the scenario is different in present days. This is a fast world. Everything has to be completed in a minute. Also there are lot many media. People, more particularly, youngsters look things in a logical manner and analytic approach. They get convinced only with evidences. They have many a media to teach - Computers, Televisions, Smart Mobiles, Tablet PCs, Internet, WhatsApp, Facebook and what not? In the midst of them one important fact is missed - what is the authenticity of these matters being relayed? What is the knowledge of the author of these stuffs? Have they been validated before publishing? These are all million dollar questions? This book is an attempt to answer these questions.
