This book interrogates representations – fiction, literary motifs and narratives – of the Partition of India. Train to Pakistan is one of the most excellent novels written on the theme of Partition and is Khushwant Singh's paramount novel. It was written in London during a time when he was functioning with Krishna Menon and they apprehended each other in reciprocated dislike.
