This Code governs the design, evaluation, and structural rehabilitation design of highway bridges in the Province of Ontario with individual spans less than 150 m in length. Provisions are included for the design of pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and highway accessories of a structural nature such as barriers, poles, and sign supports. The Code covers general provisions, load, analytical, superstructure, foundations, and other basic design requirements; material resistance design requirements; and requirements for the evaluation and rehabilitation design of existing bridges. It also includes a summary of changes from previous editions.
