Results are given of a study of the ocean currents over Plantagenet Bank, Bermuda from 1 to 15 August 1961. These currendata, presented as central vector plots, hodographic plots, and progressive vector diagrams, reveal influences due to winds, thermal stratification, and bottom friction superimposed upon a net south-southeasterly flow. The current in the southern region of the Bank was clearly rotary and displayed somewhat irregu lar characteristics which were apparently associ ated with eddy turbulence. Obvious tidal influ ences were not revealed. (Author).
