Excerpt from Obituary Record of Graduates of Yale University, Deceased From June, 1880, to June, 1890: Presented at the Annual Meetings of the Alumni, 1880-90 Immediately upon graduation he entered the Andover Theol. Seminary, where he finished the course in 1814. Bewas soon after ordained, and in 1816 went as a missionary to Lewiston, Niagara County, N. Y., where he was installed over a Presby terian Church the following year, and remained till 1828. He next supplied the pulpit in Little Falls, N. Y., for about a year, and from 1830 to 1835 had charge of the Presbyterian Church and of the academy in Stockbridge, Madison County, N. Y. He was then for four years principal of an academy in Stockport, Columbia County, N. Y., which he left to become the general agent of the N. Y. State Society for improving popular education by the establishment of Normal Schools. He subsequently sup plied weak churches ih different parts of the State, especially in Lewis County, until his removal to Princeton, N. J., in 1860, where the remainder of his long life was spent. He died in Princeton; July 15, 1880, in his 91st year, of bilious fever. He was married, Aug. 29, 1815, to Clarissa, daughter of Robert Parker, of Londonderry, N. H. She died in Princeton, Sept. 24. Excerpt from Obituary Record of Graduates of Yale University: Deceased During the Academical Year Ending in June, 1891 (Presented at the Meeting of the Alumni, June 23d, 1891) He was born in Thompson, Conn., on April 4, 1797, the eldest son of Daniel H. And Mary (dresser) Wickham, who in 1799 te moved °to New York City. For the first year after leaving College he served as amanuensis to President Dwight, and during the following year was Rector of the Hopkins Grammar School in New Haven. From 1818 to 1820 he held a tutorship in Yale College, at the same time pursuing theological studies under Professors Fitch and Goodrich. He began his ministerial labors in 1821 as a missionary on Long Island, and then spent some tme in central New York in the service of the Presbyte rian Education Society. Having been invited to the charge of a Congregational. Church in Oxford, Chenango County, he began his labors there in January, 1823, and on July 31, at the dedica tion of a new'house of worship, he was ordained to the ministry.
