Though the title mentions letters of the alphabet, this book is not a children's book. No! It is a book for everyone because we all can learn more about Jesus. Names of Jesus from A to Z was written to give readers a better understanding of God the Father and Jesus, His beloved son. In the Baltimore Catechism #1, the question "Why did God make me?" is answered with the response, "God made me to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in Heaven." It is our responsibility to know God. Scripture tells us in Peter 3:18, "But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Knowledge leads to love. Through Names of Jesus from A to Z we have a simple way to learn about God. The names and titles given to Jesus in Scripture provide a good description of God's love and mercy for mankind. Joseph G. It is important for our children to know that no matter what happens in their lives that Jesus will be right there with them and that they can always call on him, to thank him, to say I love you, or to say I need you. For in this world they will know, no greater friend, love, or prayer, than the love and friendship of Jesus...! Once we set Jesus as the “cornerstone” in our children’s lives, we give them the foundation, to ultimately grow in their love, devotion, and relationship with Jesus. And, as parents we have begun, to work in God’s vineyard, and set our children’s hearts, minds, and souls on the path, to a relationship with Jesus Christ that will live with them not just in this life but in the next life too (for all eternity)!
The Bible reveals much about Christ's characteristics and attributes, and gives us a glimpse of the awesome personality of the one with the "name above all names." "Jesus from A to Z" lays out many verses that describe some aspect of Christ, placing them in an easy-to-grasp alphabetical order.
