My first attempt at this book was my auto biography. I decided to extricate my life story as much as possible, in order to describe in this book, a really unique phenomenon, which was occurring in my life, involving my cats...specifically their passings. While most of my cats were born literally under my bed, they were really only one generation away from being feral. None of them were 'very pretty', but each had their own personality, and yes, their own time and way, in which they left this world. The main stay of the book is about my eight house cats, with some experiences with my 'out side the house' cats, who I fed and allowed to live free, in my large enclosed back yard. A person might wonder why on earth they would read such a possibly depressing book. As an analogy, in order for a person to be trained to be a physician, that person has to be shown the body in its parts and functions. Not exactly a thrilling thing for many of us, perhaps. But, if you are a person seeking answers as to whether there is an after life, I can show with recorded dates and events, that cats, at least when in a stable environment such as they have had with me, can have both Pre and After death activities, some times advanced, and some times, if something 'stirs' them, they can have activity again for a time. In general, it is more complex (intelligent?) then I could have ever imagined. And what's more, and this maybe up setting for some, there occurred with in feet of me, an extra terrestrial 'involvement' with one of the cats, which I witnessed. I have now come to wonder if there wasn't 'some thing' going on all along, because 'themes' seem to emerge in the passings of the cats, which I recorded. I then came to discern a 'message' which was being conveyed to me in all of this, which I share in this book. All in all, this book is a Learning book, as are all of my books. I don't write to entertain nor do I expect book sales. Like my book title, 'True Christ Revealed, and His Space Age Relevance', I feel I have a mission to do discovery of truth, both in history and in a book such as this, in life. I consider this book, as different as it is from my other ones, as still as part of my 'job' or mission, to seek and reveal truth, always based on history, even if it is a 'history' of my own cats. This story of my cats spans over sixteen years, from 2004 to as recently as February of 2021. Indeed, with the passing of my last cat to pass of Sheba, a new Para normal activity and experience occurred, one different from any of the others! For those skeptical about all of this, try to discover and learn with an open mind.
Paige is just like every other kid. She goes to school. She practices her violin. She plays outside. The only problem is, she cannot quite see the chalkboard, her sheet music, or anything else! Despite Paige’s repeated refrain of “I can see just fine,” the comical illustrations portray a different story. Paige’s parents decide it’s time for her to visit the eye doctor, despite her protests. But Paige’s stubbornness quickly dissolves as she braves an enthralling eye checkup, enjoys a playful frame selection, and, most importantly, ends up with perfect eyesight! Barclay successfully depicts a very real and relevant issue with lightheartedness and gentle humor. Young readers will relate to Paige’s journey and celebrate her triumph of seeing clearly in the end. Praise for I Can See Just Fine "It’s a useful, non-didactic story for kids in Paige’s situation—and utterly fun, too.” --Publishers Weekly "A gentle way to introduce the topic of eyeglasses with a resistant child and what to expect in finding a solution." --Shelf Awareness for Readers "With an attractive, clean layout and big speech bubbles, this story is one that young readers will easily follow as Paige ultimately triumphs with her new glasses." --School Library Journal "This is an easy picture book for beginning readers with full-color illustrations. The stylized, pleasing illustrations are done well and a lot of children can relate to the situation." --Library Media Connection

New York Times bestselling adult author of The Bear and the Nightingale makes her middle grade debut with a creepy, spellbinding ghost story destined to become a classic. Now in paperback. After suffering a tragic loss, eleven-year-old Ollie who only finds solace in books discovers a chilling ghost story about a girl named Beth, the two brothers who loved her, and a peculiar deal made with "the smiling man"—a sinister specter who grants your most tightly held wish, but only for the ultimate price. Captivated by the tale, Ollie begins to wonder if the smiling man might be real when she stumbles upon the graves of the very people she's been reading about on a school trip to a nearby farm. Then, later, when her school bus breaks down on the ride home, the strange bus driver tells Ollie and her classmates: "Best get moving. At nightfall they'll come for the rest of you." Nightfall is, indeed, fast descending when Ollie's previously broken digital wristwatch begins a startling countdown and delivers a terrifying message: RUN. Only Ollie and two of her classmates heed these warnings. As the trio head out into the woods—bordered by a field of scarecrows that seem to be watching them—the bus driver has just one final piece of advice for Ollie and her friends: "Avoid large places. Keep to small." And with that, a deliciously creepy and hair-raising adventure begins.
Since ancient times, stories have abounded concerning the existence of ghost animals. From the Native American animal spirits, to the menacing demon dogs of medieval England, to present day encounters with animal apparitions, there can be little doubt that animals, like people, live after death and pass back and forth between this world and the next. In the realm of the paranormal, experiences concerning deceased pets who revisit the living are common events. Like the ghosts of humans, pet ghosts return for various reasons. Sometimes they appear to say goodbye. Sometimes they want to reassure their grieving owners that they are all right, and that their spirits are always with them. And sometimes, as they often did in life, they are guarding their beloved humans, delivering a message or a warning. "Haunted Pets" covers a wide range of encounters with animal ghosts. Some of these encounters are comforting; others are terrifying. In general, when pets return in ghostly form, they provide comfort and protection to the living. But there are other less benign phantom creatures who have been known to haunt places of violence, or exact revenge upon humans for evil deeds which, while long past, have somehow evaded justice.
