"The Transportation Plan for Mt. Vernon is a review and update of Mt. Vernon's existing eight-year old Transportation Plan. The Plan includes an inventory and analysis of existing Transportation data and indicated changes that have occurred in the past eight years. The plan proposals of the 1963 Plan are reviewed in relation to current needs, with additional proposals made to meet the anticipated need of 1990. Also included are suggestions for use of various tools and methods for implementing the Plan. When adopted by the City Council, the Transportation Plan will become an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for Mt. Vernon."--Preliminary page.
