"Morna's Rogue" is the SWEET/CLEAN version of "Love Beyond Compare" by USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Bethany Claire. This version is for readers who prefer clean language in their stories and love scenes that stay behind closed doors. A strange new world. An unexpected love. Jane Mitchell has always been a dreamer, but living in the seventeenth century was never one of her fantasies. Transported through time against her will by the meddling witch, Morna, Jane chooses to stay in the past to remain near the family she loves most. Still, castle life doesn't fulfill her, and Jane quickly realizes she needs more purpose in her life. Determined to make her own way, Jane takes work at the village inn never suspecting for a moment just how much one guest will change her life. The last thing Adwen MacChristy wants is to be laird of Cagair Castle. He wants to wander--to spend his days traveling the world and sleeping beneath the stars. Nothing breaks his heart more than knowing his days of adventure are about to come to an end. On his last night of freedom, Adwen stops at the inn near McMillan Castle and meets the only woman to ever truly bewitch him. For the first time in his life, he begins to believe that a life of responsibility might not be so bad if he had a fiery lass like Jane by his side. Will Jane allow herself to fall for the reckless man who loves her, or will fate send her back to her own time before she has the chance? Read all the books in The Magical Matchmaker's Legacy. It began nearly four hundred years ago. The Conall clan and all their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their beloved castle and all evidence of who destroyed them burned to the ground with their bodies. In the centuries following, archaeologists searched through the ruins looking for any evidence of what or who had caused the untimely demise of such a powerful Scottish clan. All efforts were fruitless, until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic.... Texas kindergarten teacher, Brielle Montgomery, finds comfort in the mundane routines of her life, but when her archaeologist mother asks her to accompany her on a dig in Scotland, she decides to step out of her comfort zone. Once in Scotland, they discover a secret spell room below the castle ruins, and Bri finds herself transported back in time and suddenly married to the castle's ill-fated Laird. Now, she must work to change the fate of his people, all while trying to find a way to return to her home and century. But with each passing day, Bri finds herself falling more deeply in love with her new husband. If she can find a spell to bring her home, will she use it? And if she stays, will it ultimately mean her own death as well?

Voices From an Empire was first published in 1975. Minnesota Archive Editions uses digital technology to make long-unavailable books once again accessible, and are published unaltered from the original University of Minnesota Press editions. The literature of the various regions of Lusophone Africa has received relatively little critical attention compared with that which has been focused on the work of writers in the English- and French- speaking countries of Africa. With the profound changes which are occurring in the social and political structures of Lusophone Africa, there is particular need for the comprehensive look at Afro-Protuguese literature which this account provides. Professor Hamilton traces the development of this literature in the broad perspective of it social, cultural, and aesthetic context. He discusses the whole of the Afro-Portuguese literary phenomenon, as it occurs on the Cape Verde archipelago, in Guinea-Bissau, on the Guinea Gulf islands of Sao Tome and Principe, in Angola, and in Mozambique. In an introduction he discusses some basic questions about Afro-Protuguese literature, among them, the matter of a definition of this body of writing, the implications of the concept of negritude, the role of Portugal and Brazil in Afro-Portuguese literature, and the social and cultural significance of the dominant literary themes found in the various regions of Lusophone Africa. Because he sees the regionalist movement in Angola as the most significant in terms of a neo-African orientation, he begins the book with an extensive study of the literature of that country. Many examples of afro-Portuguese poetry are given, both in the original language and in the English translation. There is a bibliography, and a map shows the African regions of study.
A collection of scholars from Cape Verde, Brazil, Portugal, the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain writing about Cape Verde
