Robert Finley, of Scottish lineage, emigrated from Ireland to West Hottingham, Maryland. He was born 9 May 1680 in Armagh, Ireland and died in 1741 in West Nottingham, Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Kentucky, California, Michigan and elsewhere.
