Excerpt from Modern Junior Mathematics, Vol. 3 The book is planned for a year's work in the ninth grade. The last year of the junior high school or the first of the high school on the 8 - 4 plan. It presupposes a knowledge of the introduction to algebra given through the mensuration of Book Two. With a little supplementation, however, it may be taught independently of Book Two.
