Fundamental of Public Personnel Administration was written to help students at undergraduate and graduate levels understand the principles and practices of personnel administration in the Public Service. Management of people is very crucial in the civil service, especially for Bureaucrats.The governments at the Federal, State and local levels employ large army of people.In Nigeria, these levels of government are the highest employers of people. In the light of this, the principle of managing in organizations are discussed but illustrated with civil service experience. In this approach, the deficiencies are high-lighted for future review that would enhance result-oriented Public Service in Nigeria.
