Manuscript written by Hunt in 1926, given to Allen French May 30, 1926, and used in preparing the biographical sketch of Hunt that French later wrote for the Memoirs of Members of the Social Circle in Concord (Fifth Series, published 1940). Hunt discusses his childhood and the domestic life of the old Hunt House and the problems of farming the land on Punkatasset Hill. He also refers to antislavery sentiment within his family and to the tension caused by varying degrees of community sympathy to the antislavery cause.
